Our Past Projects in Year
2005-2006
Training :-
Sophie Jan Kalyan Samiti, 14/80, Civil Lines, Kanpur organized a
Training Camp in Nagar Palika Parishad, Bilari, Distt. Moradabad
under N.S.D.P. scheme financed by Urban Development Authority .
Selection of beneficiaries was made by C.D.S. in an open
meeting, in which the specialists gave the information of Durri
(Carpet) knitting by new technology, so that the feeling of self
employment may be created amongst women and trainees were also
told that they can get loans from the banks on low interest.
After 3 months training trainees were given certificates and
encouragement stipend of 350.00 by the Executive Officer.
Balwadi Center :-
Sophie Jan Kalyan Samiti established 7 Balwadi Centers in which
nstructors were selected by C.D.S. in an open meeting. Furniture
for instructors and Tat Patti and reading material for students
, was Provided by Society. Every day Pushtahaar was also
distributed amongst the students so that the children of slum
areas may also be educated.
Day Care Center :-
Under N.S.D.P. scheme this Society organized a Day-Care Center
in Bangla village of Moradabad , in which 10 old and helpless
women were benefited. Selection of old women was made by C.D.S.
in an open meeting in the presence of Project Officer of
District Urban Development Authority.In the day-care centre
break fast, Food, Fruits and milk are provided to old and
helpless women by the Society as per Govt. standard . Health
check up of these women is made by Doctors and nurses every week
and medicines are provided . Women in the center are carried on
tour every week to entertain and keep them fit. Society has
supplied magazines and story books in the center and benefited
them with the Govt.facilities like Widow Pension etc.
Nonconventional Education Center :-
Society organised 10 Nonconventional Education Centers in
Moradabad under N.S.D.P. scheme financed by Urban Development
Authority(DUDA) as is known maximum no.of child labour are in
Moradabad. Child labours have been provided furniture and
education material free of cost as per Govt.standard. and from
time to time field worker of Dy.Labour Commissioner Office has
also inspected 10 Child Labour Education Centers, subsequently
the no.of child labour in Moradabad has decreased. Society has
established Child Labour Education Centers in slums of Nawabpur,
Bangla Gaon, Daulat bagh, Dehariya, Kanghari Sarai, Bhadora,
Shah Bulaka, Jarat , Kundarki & Milak.
Intensive Pulse Polio :-
Society has made publicity of Intensive Pulse Polio programme in
Moradabad and arranged the feeding of polio drops in so many
mohallas by it’s vehicles. Instructors working in the Society
have also helped in feeding pulse polio drops in hospitals.
