Our Past Projects :: Camps for Disabled

2004-2005

Sophie Jan Kalyan Samiti, Kanpur organized a Disabled Camp on 18.2.2006 in Shyam Nagar at the residence of Sri Ram Asre Vishwakarma, in which reputed people of the area and about 40 disabled persons participated. Dr.Anil Katiyar examined these disabled persons in which 6 of them were found deserving, who were not able to move because their feet got skew. Free Crutches were given to 3 of them . Attending people very much appreciated this social service.
Awareness Camp
Sophie Jan Kalyan Samiti organized an Women Awareness Camp in the slum area of Ram Asre Nagar on 16.4.2006 in which women participated with full enthusiasm. In this camp specialists guided the attending women about the women rights. Old women were told how they can get the facilities given by Govt.of India/ state Govt. as a senior citizen.

2007-2008

Camp Organised for Physically-Challenged

Under the supervision of SOPHIE JAN KALYAN SAMITI, 14/80, Civil Lines, Kanpur, a Camp for Physically-Challenged was organised to help these people join the social mainstream. 66 physically-challenged and other honourable people of the area participated in the camp. Under this camp, cooperation of the Chief Medical Officer was sought to issue physically-challenged certificates and 18 such certificates were distributed. The physically-challenged were examined by Dr. P. N. Vajpayee. Crutches were distributed to 8 physically-challenged persons. The public present in the camp appreciated this deed.

2008-2009

Social Justice for Handicapped and Widows

Handicapped Awareness Camp: Generally handicapped children and widows are considered as burden in the society. There is no suitable educational and Rehabilitation infrastructure for handicapped children. SOPHIE JAN KALYAN SAMITI  creates awareness among common people for giving love & care to the handicap children and widows. SOPHIE JAN KALYAN SAMITI has been conducting awareness and support related activities in it’s working area to make differently able people more efficient and empowered. Organization organizes awareness camps for handicapped people. Through various activities organization make people aware about the government facilities and schemes for handicapped people. SOPHIE JAN KALYAN SAMITI provides supports to differently able people to get disability certificate, wheel chairs, limps and hearing aid.
